Equalizers Academy is an enterprise that runs holiday camps that operate in the London Borough of Bromley, UK, during school holidays.
The creators of Equalizers Academy have a passion for Maths and football, coupled with a wealth of experience in the sectors of Education and Events. Over the last few years, they observed the numerous football camps operating across the country that did not provide educational opportunities in tandem. They were able to envisage a concept that explicitly knits education and football together – a Maths and football holiday camp.
It is well-known that children’s mathematical understanding often regresses during holiday periods. It is imperative that children continue to develop and practise their mathematical understanding during these periods away from formal education. Equalizers Academy provides children with opportunities during holiday periods to continue the development of their mathematics skills in conjunction with their footballing abilities. By explicitly linking mathematics and football, it allows correlated growth and development in both. Maths can be seen in the game of football wherever you look; Equalizers Academy uses this link to make both mathematics and football: fun, relatable and transformative.
